Local festivals scheduled in Aleșd and Recea

Several local community celebrations are scheduled to take place in Romania this weekend.

In Aleșd, the 24th edition of the Aleșd City Days will be held near the local football field. The event features a variety of activities including concerts, folklore shows, sports competitions, an amusement park, and a local producers' market. The musical program includes performances by the Slovak ensemble ‘Polanka’, Serenity Band, and the headlining act Spitalul de Urgență, featuring soloist Dan Helciug. The festivities will conclude on Sunday night with a fireworks display.

Simultaneously, the commune of Recea is hosting its second annual ‘Commune Day’ on Saturday, August 22. Held at the Recea village football field, the event offers folk and retro music, folklore ensembles, and dedicated activities for children such as inflatable slides and face painting. The musical lineup includes Andreea Bălan, Dan Ciotoi and Formația Generic, and Irina – Sweet Kiss. Mayor Ioan Bărgăoanu expressed his goal to establish this celebration as a local tradition.
