Local health prevention initiatives launched in Żukowo and Mietków

Local communities in Poland are hosting health prevention initiatives to encourage regular medical check-ups and specialist consultations.

In Żukowo, the ‘Zdrowie w dobrym tonie’ event provided residents with access to preventive screenings, specialist advice, and educational activities. The program included support zones for families and children, as well as discussions regarding addiction prevention. Mayor Mariola Żmudzińska noted that such actions serve as an impulse for residents to better care for their daily health.

In Mietków, the ‘Biała Niedziela’ event is scheduled for August 30, 2026. Organized by local authorities, the initiative offers free diagnostic tests including hearing, vision, lung function, and bone densitometry. Residents can also access consultations regarding heart disease, dermatology, physiotherapy, nutrition, and mental health without requiring referrals or registration. The event will feature workshops on first aid and breast cancer prevention, with support from institutions such as the National Health Fund.
