Italy regional development: PNRR funds drive local infrastructure upgrades

Various regional development projects across Italy, largely funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), have reached new milestones.

In Castenaso, the Casa della Comunità has been upgraded with an investment of nearly 954,000 euros. This facility serves the Pianura Est District of the Azienda USL di Bologna, providing general medicine, mental health, and social services. The expansion includes 660 square meters of new space designed for improved accessibility and environmental comfort.

In Oggiono, the former portineria of Villa Sironi has been repurposed into a community space through a 450,000 euro regional grant and municipal funds. Additionally, a new public water distribution point was inaugurated in the Bersaglio area to promote the use of public tap water and reduce single-use plastics.

Other infrastructure updates include the restoration of the San Carlo church in Cingoli, which now features an e-bike charging station, and the opening of a new 550,000 euro waste collection center in Pagnacco. In Cremona, construction has begun on the former Old Hospital site to transform it into a cultural and youth hub.
