Local municipalities in Turkey initiate road paving projects

Local authorities in Turkey have launched asphalt paving projects to resolve long-standing transportation issues in several neighborhoods.

In Büyükçiftlik, Mayor Çayan Çiçek announced that hot asphalt application has begun on a road in Merkez Mahallesi that had previously remained unpaved. The project aims to mitigate dust during summer months and mud during rainy seasons, which have historically impacted residents and local health.

In Manisa, the Yunusemre district is undergoing significant infrastructure improvements. Following water infrastructure work by MASKİ, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality has started laying hot asphalt on İstasyon Caddesi, Cumhuriyet Caddesi, and Tarla Sokak. Mayor Besim Dutlulu stated these measures are intended to prevent resident hardship during the upcoming rainy season while permanent paving and cobblestone works are finalized.
