Local nature lectures scheduled in Zuidwolde and Winschoten

Two upcoming lectures in the Netherlands will focus on local and tropical biodiversity. In Zuidwolde, Bert Denneman will present ‘Blau-Blau en Killy-Killy: de tropische natuur van Nederland’ at the Wolderhuus on November 3. The lecture will explore the unique ecosystems and biodiversity of the Dutch Caribbean islands—Bonaire, Curaçao, Aruba, St. Maarten, St. Eustatius, and Saba—highlighting their importance to Dutch nature following constitutional reforms.

In Winschoten, Bernard Mekelenkamp will host a session on the role of earthworms in garden health at Partycentrum Lamain on October 22. The presentation aims to teach residents how earthworms improve soil structure, manage water drainage, and process organic material to create healthier gardens.
