Local participatory budget projects underway in Poland

Various municipalities in Poland are conducting participatory budgeting processes to fund local infrastructure and community improvements.

In Warsaw's Żoliborz district, the Association of Żoliborzans is promoting project number 16, which aims to create a bicycle connection between Plac Wilsona and the Vistula River Cycling Route along Krasińskiego Street. The proposal includes establishing a bike lane on the right lane of the roadway and restoring a row of trees along the street to improve urban greenery and transit options.

In Lublin, a project to renovate the school sports field at the XXIX High School on Lipowa Street has been approved through the participatory budget. The 450,000 PLN project, authored by Piotr Rodak, will focus on modernizing the multi-purpose field by replacing the grass-tartan surface to meet safety standards and provide better facilities for students and local residents.

Additionally, the town of Żary has reached the deadline for submitting new proposals to its local participatory budget.
