Local social programs for seniors launched in Kalisz and Lublin
Various municipal support programs for seniors are currently active or launching in Polish cities.
In Kalisz, a new program titled ‘Mycie okien u seniora’ (Window washing for seniors) will allow residents over the age of 75 to receive free window, frame, and sill cleaning. The service is aimed at seniors living alone or those caring for individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses. Registration will take place via telephone on Mondays throughout November. The program is funded by the Kalisz city budget and is scheduled to run until December 21, 2026.
In Lublin, a municipal protective program providing free pneumococcal vaccinations for residents over the age of 65 is entering its final phase. The program, which offers a modern conjugate vaccine to prevent complications such as pneumonia and sepsis, is available until November 13 or until supplies are exhausted. Local clinics have been designated as sites for the free medical qualification and administration of the vaccine.
