Local waste collection and recycling events scheduled in Switzerland and Germany

Local waste management and recycling events are scheduled for late 2026 in Ettingen, Switzerland, and the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Germany.

In Ettingen, a “Bring- und Holtag” (bring and take day) will take place on September 5, 2026, at the old workshop area. The event encourages the reuse of functional items through specific exchange windows. Additionally, a hazardous waste collection for household chemicals, paints, and medications will be held at the municipal administration parking lot.

In the Erlangen-Höchstadt region of Germany, mobile green waste collection services for the second half of 2026 are commencing. Residents can deliver garden waste, such as branches, shrubs, and leaves, to designated locations. While mobile collections are available at various sites, some municipalities like Aurachtal and Weisendorf have transitioned to using stationary garden waste containers instead.
