In Maintal, a volunteer agency will conduct a cleanup of forest-edge playgrounds and the Main riverbank, concluding with a picnic featuring rescued food provided by a local food-sharing group. In Homburg, Cleanup Homburg, supported by the municipal administration and the Baubetriebshof (BBH), will lead a city-wide litter collection starting at the Saarpfalz Center Homburg.

Other waste management activities include a “Bring- und Holtag” (bring and take day) in Ettingen, Switzerland, on September 5, focusing on item reuse and hazardous waste collection. In the Erlangen-Höchstadt district of Germany, mobile green waste collection services for garden debris are also commencing.
