Logicalbeat adds 4K/60fps support to Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch 2

Japanese development studio Logicalbeat confirmed its collaboration with Monolith Soft to implement 4K resolution and a 60 fps frame rate in Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. The announcement was made via an update on Logicalbeat’s official website and a social‑media post by representative director Yoshiki Domae, who also noted the studio’s earlier work on the Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster.

Digital Foundry measured the game using an internal 720p rendering pipeline that is upscaled to 4K when docked, delivering smoother performance than the earlier Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition on the same hardware. Monolith Soft’s site has not yet listed the Switch 2 version, though the studio does feature other titles such as Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition.

Logicalbeat’s involvement highlights an ongoing partnership with Monolith Soft as Nintendo prepares further releases, including Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition next week and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition slated for December.
