LOGISTECH exhibition highlights Turkish Ministry of Trade logistics supports
The 5th International Logistics, Storage, and Technologies Fair, LOGISTECH, has opened at Fuar İzmir. Hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by IZFAS, the event runs until October 9.
During the opening sessions, Dr. Yusuf Karakaş, Deputy General Manager of International Service Trade at the Turkish Ministry of Trade, highlighted the sector's importance. He noted that logistics ranked second in Turkey's service exports last year, contributing $42.4 billion, following tourism.
Karakaş detailed various Ministry support mechanisms designed to increase the global competitiveness of Turkish firms. These supports include assistance with brand registration, market entry documentation, and advertising or marketing activities abroad. Additionally, the Overseas Logistics Distribution Networks (YLDA) Program aims to establish global logistics networks, support employment, and strengthen infrastructure.
