Logistics infrastructure expands in Poland with cargo and airport developments

LDT Wrocław is expanding its cargo terminal at Wrocław Airport, a move intended to triple its handling capacity. The project will increase the total warehouse area to 7,500 square meters and include 2,500 square meters of office space. The facility is being designed to handle specialized goods, including pharmaceuticals under GDP standards, dangerous goods, live animals, and high-value shipments following TAPA protocols. This expansion aims to attract new airlines and logistics operators, specifically targeting markets in Asia, including China and Taiwan, as well as the Middle East.

Separately, Port Polska has selected Cundall Polska to design a goods sorting facility for its new airport project. This facility will serve as a logistics hub for the terminal's retail and catering sectors, managing the receipt, security screening, and distribution of supplies to shops and restaurants. The new airport, along with the Warsaw-Łódź High-Speed Rail section, is scheduled to begin operations in 2032. The broader investment program is expected to create more than 35,000 jobs in the surrounding region.
