Logitech announces Blue Yeti 2 USB microphone

Logitech has announced the Blue Yeti 2, a successor to its long-standing USB microphone series designed for podcasters, streamers, and musicians. The new model features a redesigned three-capsule array capable of recording at 24-bit / 48 kHz resolution to capture higher fidelity audio.

Key technological upgrades include an AI-powered de-noiser to mitigate background room noise and a 3D voice proximity sensor. This sensor tracks a user's position within a two-meter radius, automatically adjusting gain, EQ, and pickup patterns 48,000 times per second to maintain consistent audio levels.

The device also introduces a 1.3-inch to 1.5-inch color LED display for visual feedback and settings control. The interface features an animated Yeti character that changes facial expressions to indicate audio states, such as being muted or clipping. The microphone utilizes a plug-and-play USB-C connection and includes onboard Blue VO!CE digital signal processing and a 10-band EQ.
