Logitech faces class action over tariff-related price increases

Logitech Inc. is facing a class action lawsuit alleging the company failed to refund consumers for price increases driven by illegal tariffs. The lawsuit, filed by Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy LLP in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, claims Logitech passed tariff costs on to customers through higher prices and maintained those prices even after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the tariffs were unauthorized.

The legal challenge follows a February 2026 Supreme Court decision in Learning Resources, Inc. v. Trump, which held that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) did not grant the president the authority to impose such tariffs. While the government has begun issuing refunds to manufacturers for the tariffs paid, the lawsuit alleges that Logitech and similar companies have not passed these savings back to the nationwide class of consumers who purchased products at inflated prices.

During the period of the tariffs, which were implemented under the Trump administration, Logitech reportedly increased the prices of approximately half of its products by as much as 25%. The suit seeks to recover these costs for consumers who purchased items such as mice, keyboards, and webcams during the period the tariffs were in effect.
