Logitech G unveils Yeti 2 microphone with AI and 3D tracking
Logitech G has unveiled the Yeti 2, the first major successor to the iconic Blue Yeti USB microphone in 17 years. Dropping the ‘Blue’ branding from its name, the new model introduces several hardware and software upgrades designed for streamers, podcasters, and content creators.
Key technical enhancements include a 24-bit/48kHz recording array and a three-dimensional voice proximity sensor. This sensor automatically adjusts audio gain, equalization, and pickup patterns in real time as the speaker moves. The device also features onboard AI-powered noise reduction to filter out background sounds like mechanical keyboard clicks and computer fans.
The Yeti 2 includes a 1.3-inch color LED display for monitoring audio levels and settings, alongside a haptic dial for direct adjustments. It connects via USB-C and features a 3.5mm monitoring port for latency-free audio. The microphone is available in black and white finishes and is priced at approximately $159.99, though regional pricing varies, such as a suggested 170 Euro price point in Germany.
