Lombardy musical organizations announce 2026-2027 seasons

Several major musical organizations in the Lombardy region have announced their upcoming performance seasons for 2026-2027.

The Orchestra Sinfonica del Lario is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a season titled ‘Doppio sogno’. Directed by Pierangelo Gelmini, the program includes six orchestral concerts and four chamber music concerts. The season features works such as ‘Dicono di Vivaldi’ and will begin on October 10 with a Beethoven-themed performance.

OperaLombardia has also unveiled its 2026-27 schedule, which includes major operatic productions across various Italian venues. Featured works include Puccini’s ‘Turandot’, Britten’s ‘Death in Venice’, a double bill of ‘Cavalleria Rusticana’ and ‘Pagliacci’, and Rossini’s ‘L’Italiana in Algeri’. Performances will take place in cities including Como, Cremona, Pavia, Brescia, Novara, Bergamo, Reggio Emilia, and Ravenna.
