Lombardy highways A8, A9 and A1 face night closures for maintenance Aug 5‑6

Autostrade per l’Italia scheduled night‑time maintenance on three major Lombardy motorways between 21:00 on 5 August and 05:00 on 6 August. On the A9 Lainate‑Como‑Chiasso, the entry ramp to the A8 Milano‑Varese heading toward Milan will be closed, with drivers advised to exit at Saronno, follow SP527 to Castellanza and re‑enter the A8, or use Legnano as an alternative. The A8 itself will see the Lainate‑Arese entry ramp closed, the Origgio Ovest exit blocked, and the Villoresi Ovest service area shut from 22:00 to 05:00. The A1 Milano‑Napoli will have the Melegnano exit closed during the same period. Alternative routes are provided for each closure, directing traffic through nearby interchanges such as the Fiera Milano node and local roads. The coordinated works aim to inspect and maintain safety barriers while minimizing disruption by concentrating activities during low‑traffic hours.
