Lombardy rolls out integrated train, metro and bus passes for commuters and tourists
Public transport operators in Lombardy have introduced new integrated ticket solutions to simplify travel across the region. A detailed tutorial explains how passengers can combine ATM metro tickets, Trenord regional rail services and car‑sharing apps, using digital wallets, QR codes and combined fare options to save time and money.
Separately, Trenord and ASF Autolinee launched the "Como Open Pass", a €15 ticket that links train journeys from anywhere in Lombardy with unlimited bus travel throughout the Como area for a full day. The pass is intended to promote sustainable tourism, reduce private‑car use and provide seamless access to destinations such as Como, Menaggio, Bellagio and the Val d'Intelvi.
