Pokémon to open first permanent store outside Asia in London

The Pokémon Company International has announced plans to open a permanent retail store in London by 2029. This location will mark the brand’s first permanent physical retail space outside of Asia.

The store is intended to serve as a community hub for fans of all ages, referred to by the company as ‘Trainers.’ It will feature exclusive merchandise and unique brand experiences. While the company has not yet disclosed the specific location within London or the official name of the shop, it has noted that the store will not officially be called a ‘Pokémon Center’ at this time.

The London opening is intended to be the first of several permanent stores the company plans to launch globally outside of the Asian market. Gaku Susai, Chief Product and Experience Officer at The Pokémon Company International, stated that the initiative aims to create memorable experiences and a place where the community can come together.
