Vietnam infrastructure projects accelerate construction during National Day holiday

Major infrastructure projects across Vietnam are maintaining high-intensity construction schedules during the National Day holiday period.

At Long Thanh International Airport, contractors are deploying nearly 100% of their workforce to accelerate progress. The project has reached approximately 80% of its total output value, with efforts focused on the passenger terminal, second runway, and internal transport systems. The government has issued directives to resolve bottlenecks and ensure the airport is ready for commercial operations by late 2026.

Other significant developments include the construction of the second runway at Phu Cat Airport, a project valued at over 3,200 billion VND. Workers are currently finalizing electrical systems and runway lighting. Additionally, in Phu Quoc, construction is accelerating for facilities intended to support the 2027 APEC Summit, including the development of the Phu Quoc International Airport Terminal 2.
