Long Thanh International Airport construction progress under strict oversight

Uông Việt Dũng, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, has issued strict directives regarding the progress of Component Project 4 of the Long Thanh International Airport construction (Phase 1).

During a review meeting held on August 15, Dũng acknowledged the efforts of investors to overcome various challenges. However, he noted significant disparities in progress across different sub-projects. While some are meeting contractual timelines, others face large remaining workloads, risks of delays, or have not yet commenced construction.

To ensure the completion of this national key project, the Director General demanded that investors implement immediate solutions. These include instilling a high sense of responsibility among all participating units and stationing competent, authorized personnel on-site to resolve issues immediately.
