Longevity Skincare Trend Highlights Superfoods and PDRN Innovation

A recent Hungarian health feature outlines six foods that may slow visible signs of aging. Green leafy vegetables such as spinach and kale provide lutein and zeaxanthin for skin hydration and eye health. Cold‑water fish like salmon, mackerel and sardines supply omega‑3 fatty acids that reduce inflammation and support radiant skin. Healthy fats from olive oil, avocado and coconut oil reinforce the immune system and protect cells from oxidative damage. Fermented products—including yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi and kombucha—offer probiotics that aid digestion, detoxification and skin health. Dark chocolate with at least 70 % cocoa delivers flavonoids that improve circulation and skin firmness. Finally, spices such as turmeric and cayenne pepper act as antioxidants and circulation boosters.

The same coverage notes a shift in the cosmetics market toward “longevity skincare,” which aims to preserve skin elasticity and hydration long‑term rather than merely covering wrinkles. A key ingredient driving this trend is recombinant PDRN, a high‑purity DNA fragment produced biotechnologically. Oláh Róbert, product‑development director at Hungarian firm NATICS, explains that PDRN supports collagen production and skin regeneration, making it a promising component for home‑use anti‑aging formulations.
