LONGi launches 680 W Hi‑MO 9 Prime back‑contact solar module at Intersolar Europe

LONGi unveiled its Hi‑MO 9 Prime photovoltaic module at the Intersolar Europe 2026 exhibition. The back‑contact (BC) module is designed for utility‑scale solar projects and delivers a rated power of 680 W with a conversion efficiency of 25.2 %. Built with 132 half‑cells in a Hybrid Passivated Back Contact 2.0 architecture, the panel offers a high power density that can raise installed capacity on a given site by about 4.6 %, delivering roughly 648 MWh of extra annual energy on a 10‑hectare plant. LONGi highlighted the module’s resilience to partial shading, reduced thermal stress through its Selective Temperature Alloy Connection (STAC) interconnection, and a 12‑year product plus 30‑year performance warranty.

In addition to the Hi‑MO 9 Prime series, LONGi announced four back‑contact variants (Ice‑Shield, Sea‑Shield, Edge, Hydro Clear) for extreme environments and introduced its Longi One storage solutions, including the OneBank 2.0 battery system (6.25–6.9 MWh) and integrated micro‑grid offerings. These launches expand the company’s portfolio for large‑scale, off‑grid, and harsh‑condition solar installations.
