Look Back live-action film announces exclusive merchandise and set restorations
Promotional activities for the live-action film adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s ‘Look Back’ have been announced, including the release of exclusive merchandise and the restoration of filming sets.
To celebrate the film's release, limited-edition A5 visual cards featuring new illustrations by the original creator, Tatsuki Fujimoto, will be distributed to theatergoers from September 11 to September 17. The film, directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda and starring Natsuki Deguchi and Ayaju Makita, will also be available in Dolby Cinema and Dolby Atmos formats at select theaters.
In Kaho City, Akita Prefecture, an event was held to commemorate the restoration of the filming sets used for the characters Fujino and Kyomoto. The sets, located at Nigaho Station and the Smile General Welfare Exchange Center, were recreated with high fidelity to the original production. Director Kore-eda and child actors Furi Nanase and Rikka Okada attended the unveiling, expressing gratitude to the local community for preserving the spaces that captured the essence of the story.
