Look Back live-action film to offer special manga booklet

The live-action film adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga ‘Look Back’, directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda, will offer a special 64-page booklet titled ‘Special Booklet Volume 1’ as a limited-edition gift for moviegoers starting September 18, 2026.

The booklet features the complete 41-page version of ‘Metal Parade’, a one-shot manga created by the film's protagonists. While the original manga only showed a title page and a brief synopsis, the film production includes fully drawn storyboards, sketches, and final manuscripts. The booklet also includes commentary on the production process and other works featured in the film.

Additionally, the publication contains exclusive dialogues, including a creative discussion between Tatsuki Fujimoto and Hirokazu Kore-eda, as well as conversations between Kore-eda and the film's lead actresses, Natsuki Deguchi and Ayaju Makita. The film, which stars Deguchi and Makita, recently premiered in Japan following its appearance at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.
