Loro Ciuffenna’s 1976 Cohort Marks 50‑Year Reunion

Around late June, former students of the 1976 school year gathered in two Italian towns to commemorate their 50th birthday. In Loro Ciuffenna, about fifty locals met at a community venue, sharing stories, photographs and music supplied by a former classmate who acted as DJ. The evening featured nostalgic references to school bus rides on the historic Lazzi line and a pledge to keep the friendship alive without waiting for another milestone.

A similar reunion took place the night before in Porto Potenza, where dozens of the 1976 generation attended a dinner at the Solero venue. Attendees recalled childhood moments, honored friends who had passed away and expressed gratitude to the local priest who helped host the event. Both gatherings highlighted the enduring bonds formed during adolescence and the desire to preserve them across half a century.
