Los Angeles Dodgers adjust roster and welcome back Blake Snell

The Los Angeles Dodgers have implemented several roster changes to bolster their pitching staff during a challenging stretch of the season. The team recalled right-handed reliever Seth Halvorsen from Triple-A Oklahoma City and added left-hander Charlie Barnes to the major league roster. In corresponding moves, the Dodgers optioned Kyle Hurt to the minors and designated Jonathan Hernández for assignment.

Halvorsen, acquired from the Colorado Rockies, brings high velocity to the bullpen, having recently performed well in Triple-A. These moves come as the Dodgers seek to stabilize a relief unit that has struggled recently, particularly with closer Edwin Díaz facing difficulties following his return from injury.

In recent play against the Kansas City Royals, the Dodgers secured a 5-4 victory, highlighted by the successful return of pitcher Blake Snell. Snell, making his first start since undergoing elbow surgery, pitched six innings with 10 strikeouts, allowing only one run. The win helps the Dodgers maintain their lead in the NL West despite recent volatility in their bullpen performance.
