Los Angeles Rams sign veteran kicker Brandon McManus

Los Angeles Rams Brandon McManus Blake Grupe NFL kicker injury

The Los Angeles Rams have signed veteran kicker Brandon McManus to address ongoing special teams challenges. McManus, 35, joins the team following a workout alongside fellow veteran Matt Prater.

The move comes after kicker Blake Grupe suffered a season-ending ACL tear during his Rams debut in a game against the Arizona Cardinals. Grupe was originally signed to replace Harrison Mevis, who was released earlier in the season after struggling with field goal accuracy.

McManus brings 12 years of NFL experience to Los Angeles, having previously played for the Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Green Bay Packers. He holds a career field-goal success rate of 82% and is expected to make his debut this Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
