The Los Azules copper development in Argentina is progressing through detailed engineering and planning for its next phase. The project deepens detailed design, completes technical processes, and finalizes an energy supply option that will strengthen San Juan province’s power infrastructure without affecting local electricity provision. Los Azules aims to operate on 100 % renewable energy, cut water use by 74 % compared to conventional milling, and achieve a mine‑to‑metal carbon intensity 72 % below industry average. The initiative is approved under Argentina’s Large Investment Incentive Regime, has a published feasibility study, and a collaboration agreement with the International Finance Corporation.

In Spain, construction of a new stadium in Bahía Sur begins with a ceremonial first stone. The €12.6 million project, initiated after seven years of planning and three procurement rounds, will replace the existing facility with a 10,000‑seat venue meeting professional football league standards. The former athletics track will be relocated, allowing three new grandstands. The mayor, Patricia Cavada, promoted the redevelopment during the 2019 municipal election campaign, and the funding is expected to come from the sale of municipal land in the nearby commercial centre.
