Los Cabos municipal agencies conduct accessibility and human rights training

Municipal institutions in Los Cabos are conducting training programs focused on accessibility and human rights.

The Municipal Institute for the Development of Persons with Disabilities (IMDIS) participated in the fourth edition of the Los Cabos Street Manual workshop. Organized by the Municipal Institute of Planning (IMPLAN) and the College of Architects of Baja California Sur, the session focused on applying NOM-004-SEDATU-2023 standards for urban design. The initiative aims to sensitize architects and engineers to the needs of people with disabilities to ensure urban spaces promote autonomy and safety.

Separately, staff from the Institute of Culture and Arts (ICA) participated in human rights training as part of the ‘Human Rights Culture: Training Route for the Public Sector 2026’. Led by the Municipal Coordination of Human Rights, the training provided tools to promote respect and protection of rights during public service. The program emphasizes preventing discriminatory practices and fostering inclusive, respectful, and safe work environments.
