Lotte Department Store and Lotte Card launch membership for foreign tourists

Lotte Department Store has partnered with Lotte Card to launch the ‘Lotte Department Store Tourist Membership X Check in Seoul’ card, a prepaid electronic payment tool designed specifically for foreign visitors to South Korea.

The new card integrates Lotte Department Store’s existing tourist membership with Lotte Card’s ‘Check in Seoul’ service. It offers benefits across approximately 70 affiliated merchants, including discounts at Lotte Duty Free, Lotte Mart, and Seven-Eleven, as well as rewards at various beauty, food and beverage, and cultural venues such as Hanbok rental shops and museums.

Key features include L.Point accumulation, transportation card functionality, and specialized discounts at the Lotte Department Store main branch. The initiative follows a significant increase in foreign consumer spending, with Lotte Department Store reporting that foreign sales have surpassed 1 trillion won. To facilitate use, kiosks for card issuance, charging, and refunds have been deployed at various locations, including the main branch, Lotte Mart, and Incheon International Airport.
