Lotte Mart ZETTA targets Busan market with new smart logistics center

Lotte Mart’s online grocery platform, ZETTA, has launched a regional marketing campaign in Busan and the Yeongnam region featuring former professional baseball player Lee Dae-ho. The campaign aims to promote the newly opened ZETTA Smart Center Busan, which began operations in Gangseo-gu on September 7.

The smart center utilizes automation technology from the British retail-tech company Ocado. AI-based robots manage the receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of up to 35,000 products. The facility features a 100% cold chain system to maintain freshness and offers flexible delivery windows, allowing customers to choose 2-to-3-hour slots up to 13 times a day, including dawn, daytime, and nighttime services.

According to a survey conducted by ZETTA in July among 500 residents in the Busan and Yeongnam areas, 55.1% of respondents prioritized ‘fast delivery’ as the most important factor when choosing an online mall, followed by 44.0% who prioritized ‘delivery at a desired time.’ The marketing campaign uses Lee Dae-ho’s famous cheering slogan to emphasize that these delivery services are available to local customers.
