Lotto Max jackpot to reach record $85 million
The upcoming Lotto Max draw is set to feature a record-breaking jackpot of $85 million, contributing to a total prize pool of $101 million. According to Loto-Québec spokesperson Renaud Dugas, recent changes to the game now allow the jackpot to reach up to $90 million.
In addition to the main jackpot, the October 13 draw could produce up to 16 instant millionaires through Maxmillions, along with 85 prizes of $100,000. The odds of winning the main jackpot are estimated at 1 in 33,446,140.
This surge in prize money has led to increased interest, with many individuals forming groups of friends, family, or colleagues to purchase tickets. The previous record for a jackpot won in Quebec was $70 million, a milestone reached three times, most recently in June 2022.
