Lotus returns to Romania via Automobile Bavaria Group

Automobile Bavaria Group has signed a contract to become the official importer and distributor of the British automotive brand Lotus in Romania. The partnership is set to begin on October 1, 2026, with local operations managed through Bavaria Auto SRL.

Lotus, a brand with a significant history in motorsport and Formula 1 innovation, will expand its presence in the Romanian market through this agreement. The brand's current portfolio includes models such as the Emira sports car, the Eletre performance SUV, the Emeya grand tourer, and the Evija electric hypercar.

Michael Schmidt, founder of Automobile Bavaria Group, stated that the addition of Lotus to their premium portfolio reflects a commitment to providing exceptional automotive experiences. The group already manages several other brands, including BMW, MINI, Corvette, and Toyota.
