LPG e-KYC deadline extended to August 23

Oil marketing companies have extended the deadline for LPG e-KYC completion to August 23, 2026. The previous deadline was August 16, 2026. The extension was granted to accommodate consumers who were unable to complete the process due to the recent weekend and Independence Day holidays.

While failing to complete the e-KYC will not result in the immediate disconnection of gas connections, consumers who have not verified their details may lose access to subsidized domestic rates and could be required to pay additional fees. The verification process is mandatory to ensure that gas cylinders are being delivered to eligible individuals.

Customers can complete the e-KYC process through several methods:

• Mobile Apps: Indane customers can use the ‘Indane Oil One’ app, Bharatgas customers can use the ‘Hello BPCL’ app, and HP Gas customers can use the ‘HP Pay’ app for Aadhaar-based face or biometric authentication. • Gas Agencies: Customers can visit their local agency with their Aadhaar card and gas connection passbook to complete verification via fingerprint. • Delivery Personnel: Verification can also be conducted via biometric machines held by delivery personnel during cylinder delivery.
