LPG e-KYC deadline extended to August 31, 2026

The deadline for domestic LPG consumers to complete Aadhaar-based e-KYC verification has been extended to August 31, 2026. This follows an initial deadline of August 23, 2026.

The verification process is being implemented by major oil marketing companies, including Indian Oil, HPCL, and BPCL. While failing to complete the e-KYC does not result in immediate disconnection of gas services, non-compliant consumers may face difficulties booking cylinders and could lose access to government-provided LPG subsidies.

Consumers can complete the authentication process through their local LPG distributor, via their respective oil company mobile applications, or through online facilities. For those with Aadhaar details already linked to their connections, digital completion may be possible. Officials noted that while refills may continue after the deadline, specific conditions and rates for unverified consumers remain subject to further direction from the Petroleum Ministry.
