LPPOM-Japan launches halal certification service for Thailand

LPPOM-Japan (エルピーポム・ジャパン) has been formally recognized by Thailand’s statutory halal authority CICOT as a Japanese halal certification body. The approval enables LPPOM-Japan to offer halal certification under the CICOT scheme to Thai‑bound products, adding to its existing services for Indonesia (BPJPH) and Japan.

The initiative is delivered through the newly created LPPOM‑YANO Halal Association, a joint venture between LPPOM (Indonesia) and Yano Economic Research Institute. The association provides a one‑stop window for certification applications, consulting, training by certified halal supervisors and auditors, market research, and support for Japanese companies seeking to enter global halal markets.
