LRT Jakarta Kelapa Gading–Manggarai route completes operational trials

The Kelapa Gading–Manggarai LRT Jakarta route has completed its operational and service trials. Construction of the 12.2-kilometer line, which includes 11 stations, is finished. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung expressed hope that the official inauguration could take place in September 2026.

During recent trials, the travel time from Kelapa Gading to Manggarai was recorded at approximately 28 minutes. The system is expected to transport between 60,000 and 80,000 passengers daily, serving as a solution to reduce traffic congestion in North Jakarta and encourage a shift from private vehicles to public transit.

PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) is currently conducting phased trials to evaluate service readiness, capacity, and passenger comfort. The public has been invited to participate in these trials by registering through official websites. Additionally, the Jakarta provincial government plans to proceed with the construction of a 2.1-kilometer extension from Manggarai to Dukuh Atas.
