LRT Jakarta Velodrome-Manggarai route reaches 97.99 percent completion

The construction of the Jakarta LRT Velodrome-Manggarai route has reached 97.99 percent completion. The project, which involves a total investment of Rp12.1 trillion, aims to connect North, East, and South Jakarta, with future plans to extend the network to Central Jakarta via Dukuh Atas.

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that while most components are ready for operation, final work is required on signaling systems at several points. Final touches also include passenger access improvements and universal facilities, such as lifts and guiding blocks for people with disabilities. The Directorate General of Railways and PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) are currently conducting track tests, signaling verifications, and safety assessments.

The 12.2-kilometer route includes 11 stations: Kelapa Gading, Boulevard Utara Summarecon Mall, Boulevard Selatan, Pulomas, Equestrian, Velodrome, Rawamangun, Pramuka, Matraman, Proklamasi, and Manggarai. Once fully operational, passenger numbers are projected to reach between 60,000 and 80,000 people per day. An official inauguration date is expected to be announced by the Presidential Palace, with President Prabowo Subianto expected to preside over the ceremony.
