LSU football adds new recruit as Lane Kiffin builds first‑season roster
New LSU head coach Lane Kiffin is rapidly shaping his inaugural recruiting class. Running back Brennen Lacey, a three‑star Texas prospect, pledged his services to the Tigers, saying, “Trust God, trust the process and keep grinding.” He joins other recent commits including four‑star edge KJ Green.
The program also secured a high‑profile five‑star tight end, Ahmad Hudson. Hudson visited Nebraska and told Rivals the Cornhuskers would “change the whole offense for me,” hinting the decision could still shift. LSU’s 2027 class currently lists four additional commitments: four‑star quarterback Peyton Houston, four‑star athlete Braylon Calais, and four‑star wide receiver Ah’Mari Stevens.
Kiffin’s early recruiting activity comes ahead of his first game on Sept. 5 against Clemson, underscoring the high expectations for the revamped LSU football program.
