Following the threat of expulsion, LSU has moved to comply with conference regulations. President Wade Rousse informed SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey that the university has filled its remaining roster vacancies with eligible players, Aiden Anding and Gabriel Reliford, rather than Wright or Harris. Rousse stated in a letter to Sankey that the issue is now “moot” and that the university does not intend to disrupt the upcoming SEC meeting.

While the immediate threat of expulsion has diminished, the conflict remains unresolved. The SEC may still pursue sanctions against the athletic department or individual personnel. Questions persist regarding whether the roster dispute indicates broader compliance issues, including potential involvement in basketball recruitment.
