L&T Secures Mega EPC Orders for Iron‑Ore and Steel Plants in India

Larsen & Toubro's Metals & Minerals division announced multiple mega contracts worth roughly Rs 10,000‑15,000 crore each with leading Indian metals and mining firms. The orders include:

* An 18‑MTPA iron‑ore handling plant in Chhattisgarh for India's largest iron‑ore producer, part of a plan to reach 100 MTPA iron‑ore capacity by 2030. * A steel‑plant expansion in West Bengal, raising capacity from 2.5 MTPA to 7.1 MTPA for a public‑sector Navratna company. * An EPC contract for a zinc‑processing plant for a major private‑sector metals producer.

L&T's Chairman S N Subrahmanyan said the wins reaffirm the company's leadership in the minerals‑and‑metals EPC sector and reflect strong client confidence. The projects are expected to boost India's industrial infrastructure and support long‑term growth in the metals and mining value chain.
