Lublin speedway stadium reconstruction faces tender delays and temporary relocation
The speedway club Motor Lublin is planning to host its home matches in Tarnów for two years due to the ongoing modernization of its stadium at Aleje Zygmuntowskie. However, negotiations between the two cities face several hurdles. Tarnów Mayor Jakub Kwaśny noted that the Tarnów stadium currently does not meet Ekstraliga requirements, specifically regarding lighting, and the division of modernization costs remains unresolved. Additionally, the Tarnów municipality is seeking guarantees regarding the allocation of ticket pools for local residents.
Regarding the Lublin stadium reconstruction, the tender process has been narrowed down to two companies: Budimex and TEXOM. Both firms have agreed to extend the validity of their bids by 60 days. The project, managed by MOSiR 'Bystrzyca', has a budget of approximately 247.8 million PLN, which includes an option for full roofing. Budimex submitted a bid of 290.9 million PLN, while TEXOM offered 232.3 million PLN. TEXOM's previous selection was invalidated due to concerns regarding a proposed partner, but the company has since nominated a new subcontractor currently undergoing verification.
