Lubuskie mushroom collectors await autumn season amid low yields

Mushroom collection points in the Lubuskie region of Poland are currently seeing low yields as the summer season of summer porcini concludes. Collectors are awaiting the arrival of autumn porcini, which is expected within the next two weeks, provided there is sufficient rainfall.

Currently, many early-season specimens are reported to be infested with larvae. In addition to traditional species like chanterelles and bay boletes, a new variety known as the slender American porcini is increasingly appearing in Polish forests, typically found in dry areas near recently felled trees.
