Nicla Ozenda leaves La Ruota della Fortuna for vocal surgery

Nicla Ozenda, singer for the Fortuna Five/Six band on the Canale 5 game show ‘La Ruota della Fortuna’, has announced a temporary departure from the program due to health reasons. During the broadcast on Monday, October 19, Ozenda revealed that she has a cyst on one of her vocal cords that requires surgical intervention.

Ozenda explained that she had been attempting to manage a previous vocal cord issue since January to avoid interrupting her professional work. However, the condition has persisted, making surgery necessary to preserve her health and her singing career. She expressed her intention to return to the show once she has recovered, stating, “I am sure that this stop will lead me to return stronger than before.”

The announcement was met with significant emotion in the studio, including tears from host Gerry Scotti, who expressed his support for her decision to prioritize her well-being.
