Lucas do Rio Verde expands business support and school infrastructure

The municipality of Lucas do Rio Verde has initiated two separate development projects aimed at local infrastructure and economic growth.

The local government and the Chamber of Shopkeepers (CDL) have established a partnership to support small entrepreneurs and Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEIs). Operating through the Entrepreneur's Room, the initiative provides guidance, business organization, and assistance in securing microcredit through institutions such as Desenvolve MT and Sicredi. A key feature of this partnership is the ability to identify financial irregularities, such as credit restrictions, before entrepreneurs apply for bank loans, allowing them to regularize their status first.

In addition to economic support, the city has signed a R$ 2.1 million contract for the expansion of the Marcelino Espíndola Dutra Municipal School. The project, which is expected to be completed within 240 days, includes the construction of seven new classrooms and six bathrooms to address capacity limits. The expansion aims to increase available student spots and facilitate the offering of early childhood education at the facility.
