Lucas Moura nears return to São Paulo following Achilles injury

São Paulo midfielder Lucas Moura is nearing a return to professional football following a significant injury. After undergoing surgery on May 4, 2026, to repair a total rupture of his right Achilles tendon, the player has shown faster-than-expected progress in physiotherapy.

Moura has already begun training with his teammates during daily activities. If his recovery continues as planned, he could be available for selection as early as October 10 against Vitória at Morumbis, or potentially for the match against Vasco da Gama on October 17.
