São Paulo FC manages squad changes and leadership stability

São Paulo FC is navigating several personnel and administrative shifts as the current leadership nears the end of its term. The club has officially rescinded the contract of midfielder Luan, a former youth prospect and 2021 state championship hero, following an agreement to settle outstanding payments.

Regarding the squad, midfielder Cauly is unlikely to trigger a mandatory purchase clause from Bahia, as he has not met the required playing time metrics before the season's end. Meanwhile, Lucas Moura is showing physical progress following an Achilles tendon injury, with the coaching staff considering accelerating his return to the starting lineup for the upcoming match against Vasco da Gama.

On the administrative front, President Harry Massis Júnior has decided to maintain coach Dorival Júnior despite internal pressures following the manager's criticisms of the club's training facilities. Massis has opted to defer major decisions regarding contract renewals and coaching changes to the next administration, which will be elected in December. Additionally, the “São Paulo de Volta” platform has proposed a professionalized management structure for 2027, which includes hiring a CEO to oversee executive operations and financial restructuring.
