Eduardo Bolsonaro ordered to remove video attacking Simone Tebet

The Regional Electoral Court of São Paulo (TRE-SP) has ordered former federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro to remove a social media video targeting Senate candidate Simone Tebet. The court ruled that the video, which referred to Tebet as a 'vassal of Lula' and suggested she 'prostitutes herself for positions and ministries,' exceeded the limits of political criticism and constituted gender-based political violence.

Failure to comply with the 24-hour removal order could result in a daily fine of R$ 1,000 for up to 30 days. Tebet's campaign has characterized the remarks as 'abject' and 'degrading,' announcing plans to file a criminal complaint with the Electoral Public Prosecutor's Office to investigate the incident as political violence against women.

In a separate electoral matter, the TRE-SP also ordered candidate Marina Helena to remove a video targeting Erika Hilton due to potential gender identity discrimination, imposing a fine of R$ 1,000 per day, capped at R$ 30,000. Additionally, the platform 'TemMeuVoto,' promoted by presenter Luciano Huck, has faced scrutiny from users and political figures who claim the tool disproportionately suggests right-wing candidates to progressive voters.
