Luckenwalde and Grafschaft Hoya join 2026 Stadtradeln bike campaign

The German climate‑bike competition Stadtradeln runs from 23 May to 12 June 2026. The town of Luckenwalde is taking part for the ninth time, inviting residents, workers, club members and school pupils to register for free and form or join teams such as the Open Team Luckenwalde. Participation counts toward the Teltow‑Fläming district ranking.

Luckenwalde’s recent editions saw 166 riders cover 27,938 km in 2023, 211 riders log 29,652 km in 2024 and 164 riders achieve a record 30,469 km in 2025, each saving roughly five tonnes of CO₂ by replacing car trips.

Meanwhile, the Samtgemeinde Grafschaft Hoya will launch its Stadtradeln segment from 11 May to 31 May 2026. In the previous year the collective logged over 92,000 km and avoided about 15 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
